One Lord, One Faith

Scripture

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭6
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

One Lord, One Faith

In a world full of division, Paul reminds believers of what unites them: one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all. These foundational truths anchor the church and provide stability amid diversity.

At the center of our unity is Jesus Christ. Our shared allegiance to Him outweighs any differences we might have. While believers may vary in background, tradition, or perspective, they are united by the same Savior and the same gospel.

Disunity often arises when secondary issues are elevated above core beliefs. When preferences become priorities, division follows. Paul’s words refocus the church on what truly matters—our common faith and shared submission to God.

Unity does not require agreement on everything, but it does require commitment to the essentials. When Christ remains central, differences become opportunities for growth rather than sources of conflict.

Today, reflect on what you emphasize most in your interactions with other believers. Do you put a major emphasis on shared faith or minor differences? Ask God for wisdom to discern essentials from non-essentials and for grace to walk in love.

True unity flows from shared devotion to one Lord.
